About This Quiz

Television has been with us for over 90 years now, and it has been in our homes for at least 60 of those years. Indeed, after being a rare commodity in development for a generation, TV went from a luxury item to something that even the poorest families owned in an astonishingly short period of time: about 20 years. In America in particular, TV began to reshape culture, bringing afternoon specials, soap operas, comedies and movies into our homes. Soon water-cooler chat was all about the latest popular show, and even though the entertainment landscape has evolved and fragmented since then, there are still shows that we all know and love.

What makes them so special? First and foremost, it's all about the characters, and most specifically the couples. Seeing a TV couple who can love each other despite their imperfections, their bickering, their foolishness and the challenges they face is immensely reassuring and important for us. It gives us catharsis as we laugh at seeing our own foibles reflected back to us, and it reminds us that no relationship is perfect. From long-married couples to newlyweds to on-again, off-again romances that eventually sort themselves out, we have fallen in love with all sorts of dynamic duos, because we know that deep down, we're just a little bit like them - or some of them, at least! Let's find out which television couple is most like your relationship!
