About This Quiz

"The Princess Bride" is a fantasy romance novel written by American author William Goldman in 1973. The novel is said to be an abridgment of a longer story by author S. Morgenstern, and in 2015, a collection of accompanying essays and novels were published as "The Princess Bride and Philosophy."

Less than two decades later, the beloved novel was adapted into a film starring Cary Elwes, Robin Wright, Chris Sarandon and André the Giant. While it may not have been a box office hit, the movie was well-received by critics and today, it is listed and one of the funniest cult classics of all time.

Known for combining adventure, romance, fantasy, and comedy, both the book and the movie open with a grandfather reading the tale to his sick grandson. The story follows Westley, a farmhand who along with his companions must rescue his childhood friend and true love Princess Buttercup from the evil Prince Humperdinck.

Which character from "The Princess Bride" are you most like? Will you be a hopeless romantic like Princess Buttercup? Will you be as loyal and Indigo Montoya? Will you be as adventurous as Wesley, or will you be as calculated as Prince Humperdinck? If you would like to find out, then this is the quiz for you!
