About This Quiz

There are a lot of wondrous things in this world, from the natural to the ancient to the modern - and there are certainly more than seven of each. Still, there are some structures and sites on this blue planet of ours that are so impressive that they simply have to be given a special label, to help people find out which ones are worth blowing our hard-earned tourist dollars on seeing at least once. They are all over the world, and they include statues, tombs, pleasure gardens, skyscrapers, canyons, mountains and lakes. They are on all the continents, and it would take a determined traveler months and many thousands of miles of flights to take them all in - but if we know about them, at least we have an idea where to start!

Sadly, some of the wonders of history are lost to us, such as the Colossus that once stood astride the harbor of Rhodes. Obviously, you can't visit that, but you can read about it and see it in ancient drawings. The loss of this, the Hanging Gardens and other wonders makes it all the more important to recognize and appreciate those wonders that are still with us today, so that we can protect them for future generations to marvel at in their turn.

Take this quiz to travel in your mind and flaunt your knowledge!
