It's just the same, because each of our personalities has their own kind of travel temperament, where your body and soul seem to be itching to go to a certain place, country, or continent. Since there are many countries out there, there are also many cultures, cuisines, climates, and conditions. All of these things have to be taken into consideration when one wants to travel for leisure. After all, you've been saving up money and will be giving it time, so it better deliver good results, right? You don't want to go on a trip of a lifetime only to go home with memories of bad travel experiences. Do you want to go beach-hopping in a tropical island set-up?

Yes! If it’s similar to the beaches in the movie "The Beach," I’m all for that!

Do you like visiting centuries-old castles?

I think I prefer to visit ancient ruins of non-Western civilizations.

Very much so! I’d like to see where kings, queens, and monks lived in ancient times. And commoners!
Maybe centuries-old structures of other sorts, but not really castles.

I’d rather visit nature parks and wildlife stuff.

Do you want to visit the Shire set where the "Lord of the Rings" was filmed?

Nah, I’m not into those things, sorry.

I’d rather see European locations where they shot many Hollywood movies, like in cobblestone streets and stuff.
I’m more interested to see where Jackie Chan Hong Kong films were shot. or Bruce Lee’s! And those shaolin movies, too.

Very much so! Such a fan of LOTR, Tolkien, and Peter Jackson!

Do you want to look at humanity’s greatest art works stored at The Louvre?

If the budget fits, then that could be included in the itinerary…

Yes! I can spend many days just looking around in an art museum like that! So worth it!
Yeah, but maybe just briefly, then I can see other things.

I’d rather see nature’s great works outdoors.

Do you want to see that noodle place where former Pres. Obama and Anthony Bourdain dined?

Awww, yes, please! I’d like to try dining there, too. Authentic pho!

That sounds kinda, um, unsanitary, sorry, no.
Nah, I know better places to eat great noodle dishes.

Do you want to see where the “Gangnam Style” dance craze originated from?

Not really, but I’d still like to see that Gangnam neighborhood out of curiosity.

Are you a fan of animé and manga?

I can appreciate some, but not all.

No, I think those are childish things.
I can’t live without them. They’re great entertainment!

Some of them are okay, if they have English translations.

Are you curious to see the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage protected site?

If there’s a beach area there where I can lounge around, why not?

Not such a nature fan. I’d rather see monuments, architectural wonders, and stuff like that.
Maybe if it’s on the way, I can take a quick peek.

That would be so cool! I hope we’re also allowed to swim in a portion of it, just to commune with aquatic nature.

Are you skilled at eating sushi the proper way?

I’m no expert, but I like eating that from time to time.

Eewww, I hate eating raw food, no!
Yes! I really like the meditative aspect of its preparation, so proper eating naturally follows.

There’s a proper way? Heck, I just eat it any way I can!

Do you plan to run with the bulls, or see a matador fight?

Nah, I’d rather visit flea markets.

Ooh, yes! Bullfighting looks romantic to me, don’t know why…
I’m good to watch that from a distance, like on television.

Isn’t that cruelty to animals? Not sure I’d like that.

Do you love sampling dumplings of all sorts?

If it’s part of a dish or meal I’m having, why not?

Not sure of the ingredients inside of them, so I’d rather pass.
Super! I love trying out all kinds, like the ones with shrimp inside, or quail eggs. Yummy!

I think I prefer my food grilled or barbecued, not steamed.

Do you want to experience shopping at floating markets on rivers?

That’s a great adventure! Why not? I love shopping.

Eek! Isn’t that quite dangerous? What if it capsizes?
I’m not such a fan of shopping, so I’ll pass on this one.

If there are great and unique souvenirs there, I’d love to pass by.

Do you want to see a kangaroo and a koala, live?

Only if they’re in their natural habitat, okay? No cages.

I’m good with seeing them on TV or magazines, thanks.

Do you want to visit Angkor Wat where they shot the original "Tomb Raider" film?

That would be awesome! I heard it’s the ruins of an ancient megacity. Great!

Well, they’re also like huge castles, right? So sure, I can give it a try.
If there are temples there of different kinds, I’d like to see that as well.

Sure, I can use the trekking exercise there.

Do you want to see awesome glowworms?

Not too keen about it, but if it’s part of the tour, then let’s see them anyways.

Yuck, no, sorry, not a fan of worms of any kind!

Are you curious about Buddhism and Buddhist temples?

Yes. I’ve always resonated with Buddhist teachings and ways of living.

I’m curious about different kinds of temples, so yeah.

Nah, I’m not one for religious-themed tourism stuff.

Do you want to taste different kinds of kimchi?

Not so much. I’m good with tasting the basic one.

Sorry, not a fan of spicy food.
Yes! I love spicy stuff like that. It would be fun to learn how to make them, too!

If it goes well with barbecued stuff, I can try it!

Are you curious to climb the Eiffel Tower?

I’m good with receiving a postcard, thanks.

That’s actually on my bucket list. Yes, please!

I’d rather go mountain climbing or waterfalls trekking.

Do you really want to see how cappuccino should be prepared?

I’d rather taste different tropical fruit shakes or cocktails.

Not too keen on seeing an oppressive society anytime soon, so pass.

Not such a fan of ancient architectural stuff like that.

I’ve tried that from time to time, yeah.

That would be a great and enlightening trip for me! Count me in!

Not a huge nature lover, so I’ll pass.
I’ll stick with land-based trips maybe, one that has clear roads…

As long as it’s safe for the environment and we’re not destroying anything in the ecosystem, I’m good with that.

Do you want to dine in outdoor cafes eating wonderful cheeses, or drink fabulous red wine at every meal?

Fruit wines are more my thing, and rice meals, too.

We are definitely up for that – me, my stomach, and my liver! Go!
Maybe I can try that for a while, then move on to do other things…

That’s fine from time to time, but maybe beer is better, and some grilled meat.

Are you curious to visit a traditional Chinese teahouse?

I can take a peek, then visit other places as well…

I’d rather visit big churches or other more ancient structures.

Sorry, pass. Not a Christian.

As a Christian or Catholic, that will certainly interest me. Yes!
Well, if I’m already in the area, why not. But if not, I can pass, no biggie.

I’d rather do secular stuff during travels.

Are you ever curious of stepping on an island in the South Pacific?

I think I prefer a mix of the tropical and the modern, or more modernized maybe…

Isn’t it too hot there? I’d rather go to chilly places where I won’t sweat buckets.
I can be a day tourist there, but I can’t stay longer…

Anything tropical-sounding thing like that is worth an adventure for me. So yes, let’s!
