They have specific jobs to perform based around their position, and even in a league where positions are becoming more confusing because of how players are used, you still have 11 players on offense and 11 players on defense at the end of the day. Baker Mayfield had a controversial college career where he was known for trash talking opposing teams. However, he did lead Oklahoma to the College Football Playoff while also winning the Heisman Trophy in 2017.
In 2017, DeAndre Hopkins was the NFL receiving yards leader. He caught 96 passes for 1,378 yards.

Chris Long was in a unique position in 2016 and 2017. He won back to back Super Bowls but with two different teams.
No one could deny Aaron Rodgers' talent when he entered the league in 2005. That's why he beat out Hall of Famer Brett Favre in 2008 for the starting quarterback position in Green Bay.
