The Caddy ATS comes standard with plenty of features, offers a range of power options and gives an excellent ride thanks to its impressive handling. That said, it still lags slightly behind its German competitors. Economy wise, it's not the greatest and rear seat space and storage areas are small. It is a good-allrounder, however, especially if you love Cadillac.

Korean car manufacturers have made a real impact all over the world including the United States and it's not difficult to see why. Cars such as the Sonata are reasonably priced, come with a range of features as standard, have offered a comfortable ride, are spacious and give good gas mileage.

As the luxury brand of Nissan, Infinity offers top-quality cars but a little pricier than other vehicles in their respective segments. The Q70 is certainly not cheap, even at entry level, but it does offer a host of onboard features, ample space for cargo and passengers and an excellent fuel-efficient hybrid engine.

A popular car in the sub-compact segment, the Sonic from Chevrolet not only possesses excellent handling but is spacious and has ample cargo space. And of course, it is light on fuel offering around 28 mpg in city driving and up to 37 mpg on the open road.

This two-door coupe, first produced in 2015, is a real looker. Engine options start with a 2-0 liter powerplant but the top of the range RC is powered by a 5.0 L 2UR-GSE V8 engine.

Although maybe not as popular as other Japanese makes, the Mazda 6 offers excellent handling thanks to its responsive steering. Not only that, but also expect a comfortable ride and great gas mileage of around 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highways.

With close to 500,000 units shifted in the United States in 2016, the RAM pickup is not only one of the most popular trucks in the United States, but one of the most popular vehicles overall.

A compact crossover vehicle (CUV) the Tiguan (a combination of tiger and iguana, apparently) was launched in 2007 and Volkswagen immediately had a hit on their hands with the car selling 700,000 units in four years. Currently, the second generation of CUV is on sale around the world.

The Accent was first seen as a North American model at the Montreal Motor Show in 2011. Only one powerplant option, a 1.6-liter gas engine is available but there are various trim options. The Accent has sold over 200,000 units in the last three years.

The 2007 Escalade became a popular status car among actors, singers, and athletes. With a V8 engine, this car does pack some punch and live up to the reputation. The interior of this Caddy is top class but for passengers in the third row of seats, things get a little cramped. And for a vehicle of this size, storage space is a little poor.

While not reaching the sales figures of combustion-driven vehicles, the Model X from Tesla is quickly moving up the charts for plug-in electric cars. Since it debuted in 2015, over 55,000 models have been sold.

A four-door sedan in the mid-sized segment, the Chrysler introduced the 200 in 2010 with production running till 2016. Two generations were produced and the 200 even had a 2-door convertible model.

Obviously, the Fiat 500 is not for everyone, but if you are single and want a sporty, flashy car, it might be for you. Base models have a very small engine while obviously space is limited. As for passengers, well they will have to be happy to sit in a fairly confined space.

Introduced in 2002, the Pilot is a mid-sized cross-over vehicle. It is built on the same platform as the Acura MDX, Odyssey minivan and the Accord. Over 360,000 have been sold in the United States in the last three years.

Part of Hyundai's luxury division, the G80 was first introduced in 2016. This 4-door luxury sedan has eight different engine options.

With a 4.6 liter engine, a central differential with the ability to lock and some of the best visibility available, the 2004 Discovery II quickly became a popular off-roader. It was more than capable of taking on fairly rough terrain with any major modifications.

Subaru models are known for their incredible handling, and the WRX is no different. This is thanks to the all-wheel-drive configuration found on this model. But it offers so much more, including a high-performance engine producing up to 300 brake horsepower as well as enough interior space and a comfortable ride.

The entry-level Yukon has less than stellar cargo space. That can be overlooked, however, thanks to its fine interior finish and the massive amount of power sitting under your right foot.

An all-electric vehicle, the Nissan Leaf went into production in 2010. Of course, perhaps the most important thing with such a car is the range. Today, a fully charged Leaf has a range of 151 miles with the larger 30 kWh battery. Perhaps more importantly, a flat battery can be charged to 80% within a mere 30 minutes. This is the best-selling electric car in the world.

This compact crossover SUV is a new model released by Volvo in 2017. This front-engined all-wheel drive vehicle is powered by either 2.0-liter gas or diesel engine. It was designed by Ian Kettle and Thomas Ingenlath.

This hybrid offering from Lexus is safe, reliable, spacious and offers a comfortable drive. The hybrid engine offers excellent gas mileage including 29 mpg in the city. Those numbers make it more economical in city driving than some vehicles are on the open road. The hybrid engine is no slouch either, producing 338 brake horsepower.

The Nissan Titan has a few different loadouts. One of these, the Pro-4x option, was a specifically designed off-road package that turned the Titan into a more than useful off-road vehicle. The Titan also has a very effective 5.6 liter V8 engine.

This mid-sized sedan was first produced in 2006. It quickly became one of their most popular models with close to 1.4 million sold since 2012. It offers a range of models and configurations including a hybrid and fully electric model.

This super car is currently in its third generation, the Dodge Viper Phase VX. It was designed by Tom Gale, who helped design the famous Lamborghini Diablo. The Viper RT/10 was introduced in 1992. It is powered by an 8-liter V10

Another model from Porsche as they branch out into other markets, the Macan is a 4-door compact luxury crossover first introduced in 2014. The top of the range model is driven by a 3.6-litre V6 twin-turbo engine through a 7-speed transmission.

The Clio has been a very popular compact car option within Europe for the past two decades. Available in a range of configurations, the Clio sold over 310,000 units in Europe in 2016 alone.

Another excellent offering from South Korea, the Kio Rio is now in its fourth generation. This subcompact car was first released in 2000. Currently, it is available as both a hatchback and a sedan. The Rio comes with a range of powerplants from a 1000 cc to 1600 cc gas options and 1400 cc turbodiesel. Globally, just over 445,000 models were sold in 2016.

The Jaguar F type first hit the market in 2013. This sports car is available as both a 2-door roadster and fastback coupe. The version that appears in Gran Turismo Sport is the fastback coupe.

The Opel Mokka is the German car manufacturer’s current SUV offering. It was launched in 2012 and is available in a number of markets. Interestingly, this SUV is marketed in China and the USA but as the Buick Encore. The Mokka offers both gas and diesel powerplants.

The G Wagon, a luxury SUV, is not something that you would normally associate with the Mercedes brand. That said, there clearly is a market for it, although if we are honest, it’s not the prettiest car ever made. More like a box on wheels! It was first produced in 1979.

A crossover SUV, the MKT was introduced in 2010. Average sales for the MKT have reached close to 5,000 units over the past three years. The MKT shares many of the same parts at the Ford Flex.

Brilliant performance, a beautiful and refined interior, tons of features but below par gas mileage is what to expect from the 2018 Mercedes Benz E Class. This posh German manufacturer's vehicles are always incredible, but of course, that comes at a price higher than most other manufacturers in the segment.

Despite the fact that it was only released in 2016, the Pacifica has already made an impact in the United States automarket. And with so many minivan options to choose from, this is never an easy task.

Currently in its third generation, the Opel Zafira is the German automaker's entry into the MPV market. The Zafira was introduced in 1999. It is also produced in the United Kingdom under the Vauxhall badge.
