Long-distance relationships are ridiculously hard to be in, well at least if you're really into someone. There are some people out there who don't mind them because they can do their own thing without having the pressure of having to be around someone all the time, but that is only temporary because long distance relationships pretty much never last forever. How could they?
For most people, they get into one of these types of relationships because they are totally into someone and don't want to let them go, so they are willing to give things a go long distance until things are figured out. Usually, the situation stays that way because of a job, or being in college, or sometimes even because of kids, and the whole time the relationship is being evaluated, with both people trying to figure out what would be worth it to figure everything out and really be together.
There are certain things that only people that have been in a long-term relationship will really understand, things that have to do with phone plans, travel costs, jealousy insecurity, and waiting way too long to see the person that you care about. Are you in one? Answer these questions and we will be able to tell. And no, living 20 miles away doesn't count.
