About This Article

Christmas means a lot of different things to many different people. For some of us, it's a solemn religious holiday.  For others, it may be the one day a year when you and your family go to church. And for some, it's not religious at all, just a time to gather with friends and family to share good cheer and good food. Whatever it means to you and yours, it's very often one of the few times of the year when we take the time to go all out and cook up a storm.

We don't indulge every day of the year, but we do at Christmas. A big meal, a ton of treats and snacks, and everything you remember from when you were a kid is piled high on a plate.

Some foods really represent the season, and not all of them are for the better. Are those canned yams your favorite? Would you rather have a yule log? Or maybe just a massive turkey leg all to yourself? There's something at the top of your list and something way down at the bottom, too. Maybe our list matches yours, or perhaps not. Get into the spirit of the season, and take a look!
